Wow, almost done with the single digits. Hard to believe!
Tray 8, as you saw in my last entry, had its issues. Tray 9 went in okay (not as easy as 8, but not as difficult as the beginning trays either). I did notice that the one "new" attachment is causing a gap still, and looks like it still doesn't fit over the whole tooth like the other parts of the tray, but whatever. I am done worrying and fretting over it. I guess worst case scenario is that my bottom teeth aren't as straight as I want them at the end of Tray 19 (10 trays away, whoo hoo!) and I utilize refinements that are included in my treatment. Not a huge deal since I'll have the tops for a lot longer!
Good news, though... I had been thinking about buying a sonic cleaner and Retainer Brite tablets to
clean my trays, and on a forum post someone bought theirs, so it kinda influenced me to finally checkout my Amazon shopping cart last week. Anyway, I get tired of brushing that whitish-yellowish grime that builds up in week 2 of a tray. So I was happy when UPS delivered my package today! I took Tray 8 out and popped them in, with a Retainer Brite tablet, and let it go.

The sonic cleaner stays on for 3 minutes. I could see the grime floating to the top! Then the tablet instructions said to let sit for 10-15 minutes, until the water turns clear (it's blue initially). Well, I accidentally left in for a lot longer as I was eating and watching a TV show, but I don't think it mattered too
much. I'm retiring those trays anyway! But I'll have to remind myself to go back in 15 minutes to get the trays out and let them dry.
Well, I've had the trays in for maybe 10 minutes as of writing this, and it's pressure like usual but no pain yet. We'll see how the teeth feel tomorrow!

Not much else to update on. We'll see how the not-so-perfect attachment fares in two weeks when I go to (gasp) Tray 10, and then two weeks later for my check-up with the ortho. I don't feel like it's worth calling him over again now, but if there's still a gap on Tray 10, I'm going to mention it at the checkup. It isn't a problem with a specific tray (like he said it was) if it's happening on multiple trays! But, as I said, trying not to think about it because everything else seems to be going okay and the new tray is fitting as well as it can. Maybe it'll get a little better in the next few days as my teeth start shifting?
That's all for now. Until next time...
