Tray 15 is here! And off to a, well, slightly painful start. I'm used to there being pressure when I change trays, but not actual pain right away. My top crooked tooth hurt a bit when I put the tray on. My bottom tray went on without much effort compared to some other previous trays, but it doesn't look like it fits right. But, my teeth have to actually move to fit in them, so I'm not worrying about it for the time being. The problem is if there is a problem - I am flying out of town Thursday and not coming back home until Monday. So if there are any issues, I'll just have to make do.
Speaking of flying, this will be interesting to fly with Invisalign. It shouldn't be too big a deal, unless I eat something on one of the flights. The flights to and from my connecting airport will be short and sweet, but the journey to and from my destination will probably be 3 hours, and I'll probably get hungry. I may have to do what I've only done a couple of times (and those couple of times have been recently) - just drink water when I'm done, swish around, and put the trays back on without brushing, and just brush my teeth later. I hate doing that, because my teeth feel dirty, but at least it won't be too long if I have to. I am not brushing my teeth in the airplane's bathroom! I can just wait until we land at the airport or when we get to the hotel.
Another interesting thing will be my Invisalign bag. I keep toothpaste in there, but according to the carry-on liquid rule (which includes "gels"), I'll need to take it out and put it in a clear bag to go through security. Kind of annoying, but I need to have toothpaste with me to brush my teeth! Can't pack that in my checked luggage! lol.
Interesting thing last week - there's an employee at my office who has traditional braces. We do not talk a lot, but she was going to ask me something as I passed by her in the hallway, and she looked at me and said "I didn't know you had Invisalign!" Apparently she looked into it for herself, but for some reason it wouldn't have worked with her bite. I do not think anyone has noticed my Invisalign before, unless they see me in the bathroom putting my trays back in or is a friend with whom I've discussed it with. So it was kinda neat that someone noticed!
Okay, pictures of my teeth tonight, newly settled in Tray 15!

Well, that's all from here for now. I better get going and start getting things together to pack for my trip! My cousin is graduating high school on Friday, and then his brother gets married on Saturday! I can't wait to help celebrate these special events with them. And I'll get to see my sister-in-law for the first time since she started Invisalign! :)
Oh, one more thing... forgot to mention about my tray cleaning routine. I have a sonic cleaner that I use on the trays when I'm home, but kept forgetting to use Retainer Brite. The trays would still build up. So with Tray 14, I decided to use the Retainer Brite every few days. I noticed the trays were a lot cleaner by doing that. So yay for having a system! :)
