I hope everyone had a great Christmas (and if you don't celebrate - I still hope you had a wonderful day!) Mine went well... good food, presents, and time with family. And a nice ending with an awesome Doctor Who Christmas special! Can't wait until the rest of the season picks up in April, I think it is? But I digress... I managed to keep my trays in most of the day, but had them out longer than usual (and definitely longer than the recommended two hours), but I think I did okay. Instead of putting Tray 4 back in after my evening snack, it was time to retire Tray 4 and take out my Christmas Day Tray 5... Nothing surprising or report-worthy, in these first 20 minutes anyway. The top took mere seconds to put on, but still had to push a bit (and I think there's still a bit to push up on the front teeth, but it's not going anywhere! Maybe it'll be easier tomorrow or the next day). The bottoms, like usual, were difficult to push on but still got them in 5-10 minutes. I feel pressure but no pain and there aren't any particular teeth that are bothering me. That could be a different story tomorrow! No video this time, since I'm in my PJ's, glasses, and about to hit the hay. Plus I'm exhausted from Christmas (been up since 6:30am... and it's close to midnight now) so it wouldn't be that exciting anyway. Perhaps next Tray - if not, though, I will do it again at some point (it was fun!) But, as usual, I have pictures. See the very beginnings of Tray 5! Well, I survived my first follow-up visit to the orthodontist, got my new trays, and a bit more... check out my *da dada daaaa* video update! Had enough of my blabber mouth? Okay... here's pictures of my teeth - with trays - just a bit ago. Can you tell any difference from Tray 1 to now? I can't... but that's just me. Would be nice to see some changes, but I've only had these 6 weeks plus a day... as I told the assistant, "slowly but surely!"
So, today I will have my first checkup after getting Invisalign (not including the time I went to get assistance removing my trays, or the time to replace an attachment). This is my last day of Tray 3 and will be moving to Tray 4, and presumably getting Trays 5 and 6. Not sure when my first IPR is going to be, but I may ask about that.
These last two weeks haven't been too bad... no randomly sore tooth like around Thanksgiving. Trying to keep these puppies clean (teeth AND trays). Still need to look into some sort of cleaner instead of just soaking in water and brushing the trays, but at least they don't look really yucky like the end of Trays 1 and 2! The appointment is this afternoon. Hope the orthodontist likes the progress (that I don't really see yet, except *maybe* the outers of the four front teeth look like they've moved closer to the front). We'll see! I'll keep you posted. |
