Had my orthodontist checkup yesterday afternoon. The longest part was waiting for the ortho to come check my teeth (he's always busy!) but I was able to catch up with the assistant, who is super nice. She said she noticed my smile has improved a lot, and it was then I realized I've had Invisalign for 6 months - half a year!! She showed me my Clincheck from different angles, starting at the beginning and going to now (well, end of Tray 13), and showing what my next three trays should do.
When the ortho saw me, he said he could tell I wear my trays the amount of time I should because it's tracking well, and he knows when patients don't wear them enough. I was glad to hear that - hey, I'm paying for all of this out of pocket, so I am not wasting my money or my time. The sooner this is done, the better! :)
I received Trays 14, 15, and 16. Next time I'll get my last bottom trays (for phase 1... yay!) since Tray 19 is the last one for my bottoms. Next appointment, which is in early June, I'll ask about how to handle my bottom teeth for Trays 20-37. I hope there will be passive trays or something to that effect, because I can't imagine wearing the same trays for 6+ months while waiting for the tops to finish!
I switched trays last night after dinner. Nothing too exciting. Today the teeth are sore, maybe moreso than usual, and although that one tooth with the problem attachment hurts, it's nothing like Tray 12. I brought that up with the assistant and she said it was moving a lot, so that's probably what caused the pain in my tooth and jaw. Still keeping an eye on it but trying to avoid any paranoia :)
Okay, here's my teeth tonight, wearing Tray 14...

Other than Invisalign, life is busy, especially at work. I'm almost done with my first semester of grad school (my third class officially ends a week from Friday... just a few more assignments, including a research paper on my cultural background due Sunday night, left to go!).
Oh, I did text with my sister-in-law last night and found out she got attachments, and taking the trays off became a lot more difficult! I do not know any different since I got attachments on day 1... but it's interesting to hear her side of things. She was supposed to get them last week but was still recovering from a minor surgery, so I think now we may change our trays on the same day! Haha!
Anyway, that's all from my neck of the woods for the moment. Until next time!
