Today, I had my first regular 6-month checkup since starting Invisalign. I was pretty nervous that I would have cavities... thankfully, everything looked good! No cavities! The only thing the dental hygenist said was to floss a little bit better. I think this was the first time, after flossing at the dentist, that my gums weren't sore and bleeding! I'm SO glad I've made flossing a routine now. Just have to become an expert at it :)
Another thing I was worried about was the hygenist being careful around my attachments. So the first thing I said, before sitting down, was explaining I had Invisalign and that I had attachments. Then I took my trays out and sat down, and it all seemed to go okay. I was a little paranoid at one point that she was pushing the brush too much towards my teeth, and that my teeth would shift, but when I was in the car before heading to work, I put my trays back in and they went on fine. (Yes, I get unnecessarily paranoid about things sometimes).
Anyway, glad everything went well. Had x-rays done and didn't even need to see the actual dentist. I go back in August! And I'm now halfway done with Tray 6... next week is Tray 7, my last tray until I go back to the orthodontist.
